TAI announces 2011 Prometheus Award Finalists

The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) released the finalists for the 2011 Prometheus Awards this week. The awards, designed to recognize leaders and achievements in technology across the state, will be announced in a ceremony at Meadows Convention Center in Altoona on April 7th.

In the official press release, TAI President Leann Jacobson said: “Since the Prometheus Awards began six years ago, more and more leaders across the state and country have taken notice. This year's group of technology industry stand-outs represents a broad spectrum of business and innovation initiatives that set Iowa apart as a technology state and a big player on an international level.”

Of particular note for the Silicon Prairie readership are the nominees in the following categories:

Software Company of the Year (Small/Med)

Software Company of the Year (Large/Enterprise)

CIO/CTO of the Year

CEO of the Year

Student Innovation of the Year

Breakout Company of the Year

Outstanding StartUp Company of the Year

Technology Company of the Year (Small/Medium)

Technology Company of the Year (Large/Enterprise)
