Join us this Friday, December 10th at the KANEKO Block Party
This Friday evening, our friends at KANEKO, who have partnered with us for past events such as Big Omaha and the Omaha Creative Week Caretakers Forum, will be holding a new friend and fundraiser event called the KANEKO Block Party.
Kicking off at 6 p.m. in their Bow Truss Room, 1111 Jones Street, the inaugural event will include live music by Extra Space Jazz and The Prairie Cats, food and drink by the Upstream Brewery, and a silent auction of original artworks created by more than 50 regional artists.
More than just a name, KANEKO's "Block Party" will be the exhibition of work created by the local artists whom KANEKO challenged to create works inspired by the alphabet, the block, the square or the work of internationally renowned sculptor Fletcher Benton, whose work is currently on display at KANEKO.

Tickets to the party can be purchased for $15 in advance or $20 at the door at thekaneko.org/blockparty, or we've been given the opportunity to take you as our guest. KANEKO has generously given us four passes to give away to our readers.

This is cool! KANEKO does a lot for the community so it'd be great to support them.
I would love to check this event out, Kaneko is one of the 1st things (tied with SPN) that caught my attention as why I might want to move to Omaha! (Oh, and I'm a very cheap date. ;)
