CF Webtools specializes in ColdFusion and Java development, project management, hosting, maintenance, server optimization and troubleshooting.

Upwards of 80% of our work is ColdFusion based. We are looking for reliable, honest and experienced ColdFusion programmers who can make an immediate contribution to our highly skilled team. We prefer local talent, but for the right fit, telecommute may be a possibility.

We provide a full suite of services from complex tool development, sophisticated charting applications, db engineering, to site design, blogs, e-commerce and hosting. For someone who likes to have their hands in everything, this is a great opportunity.

DailyMav – Marketing Intern (Omaha)

DailyMav is a student-run daily deal site targeted at college students.

DailyMav uses UNO’s collective buying power to offer unbeatable deals to restaurants, bars, entertainment and more. We’re looking for Marketing Interns to sell our flagship product: DailyMav Deals. This program promotes local businesses to the UNO community by offering a special ‘daily deal.’ You’ll use your knowledge of the city to grow our local market share and secure commitments from businesses like restaurants, nightclubs, retailers, theaters, tourism venues, and more. This internship offers unlimited commission based on revenue, sales goals, and company objectives. We provide training and the incredible opportunity to network with business owners in the community! Minimum time commitment is 5-10 hours per week. This is a 3 month commission based internship, with full-time opportunities possible in the near future.

Arbor Day Foundation – Web Designer (Lincoln)

The Arbor Day Foundation is seeking an exceptional designer to join our web team. The ideal candidate will excel at converting concepts and ideas from customers into compelling web pages. This role is responsible for designing, creating, programming, and maintaining web pages and emails for the Arbor Day Foundation.

Responsibilities:

  • Take raw copy and graphics and create compelling web layouts from scratch.
  • Create web buttons, graphics, banners, headers, footers, etc.
  • Crop and color correct photographs of people, landscapes, plants, and merchandise.
  • Design HTML emails and manage email lists and segments.
  • Hand code HTML and CSS.
  • Perform code cleanup on collections of web pages.
  • Take existing PDF or Word documents and create web pages that mirror them.
  • Discuss projects with our clients and create mockups to help flush out ideas.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the Foundation’s mission of tree planting and environmental stewardship.
  • Ability to hand-code HTML and CSS.
  • Proficiency with Photoshop.
  • Graphic design experience with the creative ability necessary to design an attractive web layout.
  • Experience with JQuery or similar JavaScript framework.
  • Ability to sell online. Experience crafting great headlines and layouts that increase conversion is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and web marketing techniques.
  • Great listening skills.
  • Team player.

Arbor Day Foundation – Web Developer (Lincoln)

The Arbor Day Foundation is the world’s largest non-profit tree-planting conservation organization. The Foundation is seeking an exceptionally talented individual to fill the role of Web Developer. The position is responsible for developing and maintaining the e-commerce sections of our websites. This includes writing code, managing databases, controlling Web hardware and software management and security, and managing internet, intranet, and extranet communication technology issues. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a great drive and genuine passion for their trade. Knowledge of ASP.NET, .NET, Windows Server hosting, IIS, SQL, and Javascript is a must. It is also helpful to have experience with installing and maintaining the zNode shopping cart. ColdFusion experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Writes and maintains code in the development environment of Windows/IIS/MS-SQL/ASP.NET.
  • Develops and maintains e-commerce applications and data-driven areas of arborday.org and other Foundation websites. This currently includes an in-house shopping cart written in Coldfusion. It will soon be replaced with an implementation of the zNode shopping cart written in .NET.
  • Works with other information systems staff to integrate data from other production systems for Web accessibility, and to interface Web transactions with other production systems.
  • Develops and maintains intranet applications that support in-house management of transactional data from the web and from other production systems.
  • Develops and maintains extranet applications which service vendors and clients doing business with The Arbor Day Foundation, including secure transmittal of data to and from external Web sites.
  • Coordinates Web server hardware and software management, changes, and troubleshooting with a co-located hosting facility.
  • Occasionally called upon to maintain code in the Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP development environment.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Web technology and issues.
  • Uses knowledge of Web technology to recommend hardware, software, communications, security, and similar solutions to best meet Arbor Day Foundation needs.
  • Participates in business needs and process analysis. Assists in the collection of business information reporting requirements and provides needed information.

Qualifications:

  • A four year degree in computer science or related field. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Three to four years related experience programming Web sites with robust shopping
  • experiences.
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining MS-SQL databases.
  • Experience with sharing data between MS-SQL and other production systems.
  • Extensive experience with ASP.NET, IIS, SQL, and Javascript.
  • It is helpful to have experience in .NET, Coldfusion, SharePoint, Actionscript, and Visual Basic.
  • Passion for the Foundation’s mission of tree planting and environmental stewardship
