It’s a solid week on the Silicon Prairie for events, from the Dwolla Meetup in Des Moines on Wednesday through BarCamp on Saturday in the same city. There’s also a Small Business Summit in Council Bluffs, Iowa in which very own Dusty Davidson will be keynoting. Check out the listings below with links to where you can find more information.

Wednesday, December 1, 4-7 p.m. – Small Business Summit

Council Bluffs, Iowa – Mid-America Center (1 Arena Way)

The Iowa Western Community College’s Entrepreneurial Center and Small Business Development Center will host the second annual Small Business Summit on Wednesday, December 1.

The theme of this year’s summit, The World of Digital Marketing, focuses on the needs of small business owners for assistance with social media, Website creation and maintenance, and other digital tools available to help small businesses. The speakers are each experts in their fields and bring a wealth of resources to small business owners.

The keynote speaker is Dusty Davidson, founder of BrightMix and the Silicon Prairie News. Davidson is an Iowa native and entrepreneur who will share information about his own companies and about how small businesses can effectively use new technologies to grow their businesses.
