Final Reminder: Silicon Prairie News Ice Cream Social this Friday, August 6

Omaha August 5, 2010 by Dusty Davidson

In case you've been under a rock and have missed the tweets, emails, blog posts and Facebook updates, Silicon Prairie News is turning two years old and we're celebrating with ice cream, once again. We'd love for you to join us for our second annual Silicon Prairie News & Brightmix Ice Cream Social.

When is it?

Friday, August 6 starting at 4:30 p.m. It will run until about 8 p.m. or so, leaving enough time to check out some of the other exciting things going on in Omaha Friday night – Film Stream's Local Filmmaker Series & Bemis Underground Opening.

Where is it?

Outside, at the Silicon Prairie News / BrightMix office, located at 5018 Leavenworth Street. Parking is a bit rough so grab a spot on the street or in the parking lot across the street at GoodTwin Design.

What is provided?

We'll be providing ice cream (of course!), as well as assorted beverages and snacks, including the margarita machine, back by popular demand!

What should you bring?

Toppings! We encourage you to bring ice cream toppings to share. A prize will be awarded for "most creative topping." Last year we had lots of creative options including bacon, pistachios and lots of gummy bears. Be creative!

Anything else?

That's it! RSVP on Facebook, help spread the word and we hope to see you on Friday!
