Before posting yesterday’s story about Hudl being named to Inc. Magazine‘s 30 Under 30 list, I reached out to Nitasha Tiku, the author of the Hudl profile.

I asked her what caught Inc.’s eye when investigating Hudl. By email, she replied:

Agile Sports sounded like the quintessential Inc. company. David Graff (pictured above, middle) was working for Bill Callahan when he saw a hole in the Huskers’ technology – they couldn’t watch game footage remotely, at least not safely. Graff was an MBA student looking for his chance, and he went for it – enlisting his friends to build a company that would fix the problem.

BECOME A SPONSOR

It’s always interesting when there’s disruption in an industry – in this case coaching – that doesn’t see much innovation. A couple sources that I spoke to highlighted Agile Sports as a success story from the region’s budding tech scene. And I liked that they choose to stay in Lincoln even as they scaled up.

When I spoke to Graff over the phone I was impressed that they had been able to both score big name clients like the Jets and the Broncos, while adapting to the possibility that its future might lie further down market in high school and even youth sports.

Again, a big congratulations to the team at Hudl, and thank you to Nitasha Tiku for taking the time to provide us with additional thoughts around the selection of Hudl.
