Joe Olsen talks about Omaha Creative Week, September 5-11

Omaha June 23, 2010 by Dusty Davidson

Last week I spoke with Joe Olsen about Omaha Creative Week, a week-long collection of events focusing on all things creative, taking place September 5-11.

The event's planning team, or caretakers, include Joe and others from his interactive brand experience agency, Phenomblue, as well as a mix of creatives and entrepreneurs from across the city. Silicon Prairie News' Jeff Slobotski is also on the team.

Here's more about the event, from omahacreativeweek.com/about:

Omaha Creative Week is a celebration of creativity in advertising, design, digital media, music, film and the fine arts, in Omaha, Nebraska during the second week of September 2010.

Omaha Creative Week began when several of the city’s creatives recognized an opportunity to combine several events held throughout the year under one banner. The week is a dedicated effort to collectively share the deep and diverse creative capabilities of the community with each other and the rest of the world.

Anyone is open to plan an event. Some of the events currently scheduled include:

Additionally, earlier this week Omaha Mayor Jim Suttle proclaimed Omaha Creative Week as being officially recognized by the City of Omaha.

Look to Silicon Prairie News in the coming months as more details and events are announced for Omaha Creative Week.
