Keeping in line with weekly links to startup-related posts that we find interesting, each Sunday we'll be sharing a video with solid content that we found while scouring the web for entrepreneurial and innovative inspiration.

Titled Do Startups Fare Better in Silicon Valley Than Anywhere Else?, the following video features Kevin Ryan, founder of DoubleClick and Gilt Groupe, Marc Andreessen, founder of Netscape, and Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, talking about the "magnetic pull" of the Valley.

This video has great information, thanks for point it out Jeff!

It's both good and discomforting to hear that places like NYC have identified the same issues as we have here in the Midwest as far as why we haven't become the Center of Innovation that Silicon Valley has. It will be even better when we get to demonstrate to NYC on how to overcome them!

I'm not convinced by the hype in this video. Read the recent news about SV. It's not doing so well now and is considering dramatic structural changes. CEO of Joint Venture, an organisation comprised of the Silicon Valley Network and Silicon Valley Community Foundation, two local industry bodies. "What’s hard to say is whether we’re stuck in neutral, which has happened before, or whether it’s time now for a complete overhaul."
