Scott Tech Center & Innovation Accelerator host Cyber Security event

Omaha February 17, 2010 by Jeff Slobotski

Last Thursday, the Innovation Accelerator was pleased to co-host a Cyber Security Workshop with the Scott Technology Center and the Peter Kiewit Institute.

The Innovation Accelerator invited four government-funded cyber security startups to share their technologies with invited corporate, academic and government entities that have close ties to the Scott Technology Center, Peter Kiewit Institute and the greater Omaha community. The event was a success and future workshops in other high-priority areas are currently in the works.

Here are interviews with two of the startups that were part of the event, StopTheHacker.com and MetaFlows:

Hey SPN readers...
the companies that presented at this event came to Omaha from the two innovation hubs - Silicon Valley and Route 128. Great exposure for our community. Maybe we can get more to visit and some to stay.

Question.... isn't the cyber security initiative in Omaha at the Scott Center part of that project that started in 2008 with XIT Networks?? Did that project ever get off the ground?
