Comments of the week: SEO, video props, Yahoo! in Nebraska, and more
We love comments. Discussion that takes place on our site inevitably spurs conversation offline, and we think that is very important to fulfilling our mission of building and fostering community. So, with inspiration from the authors of Venture Hacks, we're rolling out a new Friday morning feature: Comments of the week.
Today, however, I decided to reach back more than a week to grab a couple great comments. Thanks so much to those of you who made the list below and the 1,000+ others who've left comments in the past. We read and appreciate them all, but we choose the ones below for the feedback they provided, the points they made, or, to be honest, a random reason.
Also, if you'd like to show off your mug in our comments section (which would be rad!), stop on by Gravatar.com and sign up. When you leave a comment using the same name and email as you did when signing up for Gravatar, the service will insert your avatar on our site.
Without further ado, the comments of the week:

Love this idea (and not just because a comment of mine was chosen). It's great to see readers actively engaged with SPN, and even better to have the SPN staff getting fired up about interacting with the readers. It's a model and relationship that doesn't exist in enough "publications" today.
P.S. I am kind of excited to have my own tag on SPN. :)
Great idea. Venture Hacks is a great resource, and always worth stealing from. (Check out their "Pitching Hacks" e-book.) Good to see a hub for the community continue to gather momentum.
Mike, Thank for the nice thoughts about interacting with the readers – it's definitely a top priority of ours, so if you have any other best practices feel free to share! :-)
Adrian, VH is a marvelous resource – we really like what they're doing (their angel list is awesome, too).
