Silicon Prairie News

Welcome to Silicon Prairie News Version 2.0

Omaha January 14, 2010 by Danny Schreiber, Dusty Davidson & Jeff Slobotski

It's with great excitement that we introduce you to the new Silicon Prairie News! We've come a long way in a short amount of time, and it's entirely because of you, the community.

Less than two years ago, Silicon Prairie News was simply an idea. Looking back, it's humbling and motivating to recollect the encouragement we've received. From Sarah Lacy's visit in 2008, to Big Omaha in 2009, to today's launch, our passion and drive to continue building the community and telling the stories of our region's entrepreneurs and creatives is unending.

To bring the site to you today – from a Wordpress blog to a custom content management system and design – we couldn't have done it without the individuals below. They rock, please thank them if you see them around.

We have a few more enhancements and features we'll be releasing in the coming months, the most important of those is captions and credits on images. As new features go live, we'll make sure to blog about it.

Today's a big day for us. Not only did we launch a radical new design full of much-needed enhancements (look for a follow up post spotlighting them), we're also rolling out City Editions, a feature delivering our most-localized content to its intended audiences. Have fun exploring the site!
