Des Moines Tweetup, Central Iowa Bloggers Meetup Jan. 8
Networking in Des Moines in 2010 is starting off with a bang this Friday, Jan. 8, with the Central Iowa Bloggers meetup and Des Moines Tweetup.
Central Iowa Bloggers
Kick off the morning with the Central Iowa Bloggers (#CIB) meetup at Panera on University (6740 University Ave) in West Des Moines. CIB is an informal gathering of people interested in blogging typically held on the first Friday of the month. A small group gathered last week on New Year's Day, but due to the holiday, a bonus CIB has been called for this week. There is no set agenda for this meetup but bloggers begin to arrive around 7:30 a.m. and many stay through the morning.
Des Moines Tweetup
Wrap up the day with the first #DMTweetup of 2010. Named the "Old Skool #dmtweetup," this event will kick off at 6 p.m. at Raccoon River Brewing Company (200 10th St) at the corner of 10th and Mulberry downtown. Like CIB, tweetups are open to all. Absolutely! We're not aware of one scheduled, yet, but you can always check Twitter for the #dmtweetup and as we find out about it we'll post it here.
The next Central Iowa Bloggers meetup will be Feb. 5 at Panera Bread on University in WDM. Many of those folks overlap the Tweetup community and any one can stop by (even if you don't blog).
