1. What is the name, subject and URL of your blog?

Public Relations Princess, Public Relations, marketing, and social media, publicrelationsprincess.com

2. Why do you blog?

BECOME A SPONSOR

Blogging is a creative outlet for me. Painters paint, photographers take pictures, writers write. I am a writer. I also am very opinionated and appreciate the opportunity to express my views on a great variety of subjects. I also create content on my blog that other PR professionals and students would want to read, because I think I’m good at explaining things. Another reason I create content is to attract readers (through search engines) that might not otherwise know my blog exists.

3. How long have you been blogging and what blogging software do you use?

I’ve been blogging since 2005. I started out with a personal journal-type blog called My Best Life on Blogger. Then I switched to Typepad. I still use Typepad for all my blogs but am developing one for my business on WordPress.

4. What’s your favorite blog (besides your own)?

My favorite blog is Todd Defren’s: PR Squared. He cuts through the crap and manages to write about subjects that matter to me without being pompous or long-winded. He owns a successful PR firm with a social media practice. It’s what my little company (The Public Relations Project) wants to be when it grows up.

5. What do you think the state of the blogosphere is in our region?

I think we have a bunch of great bloggers. Unfortunately, I don’t think we link to each other and read each other’s blogs enough. I’m hoping that being listed on your blogroll will change that, Danny! Thanks for profiling mine!
