WikiCity purchased by Omaha World-Herald Co.

WikiCityJust a few short months ago in May we first introduced WikiCity to the SPN community. Since then, Pat Lazure and Rohit Keshwani have been busy working to continue building out WikiCity. WikiCity provides unique local content on places, events and people who would be of interest to those associated with any of its roughly 22,000 U.S. cities.

Yesterday, we sat down with Pat Lazure and talked about the recent announcment of WikiCity's acquisition by the Omaha World-Herald Co.

According to the article, Terry Kroeger, president and CEO of The World-Herald, said Lazure would now serve as president of the operation as well as of World Interactive Group, which will be a new subsidiary creating new and innovative products.

We at Silicon Prairie News are excited about the announcement and WikiCity's success is one of the main reasons for what we do. Discover, connect and tell the story of our region's leading entrepreneurs while working to assist and provide guideance along the way.
