SPN talks with Jason Fried about Haystack.com

Omaha October 29, 2009 by Jeff Slobotski

HaystackThis week we had an opportunity to speak with Jason Fried, founder of 37 Signals and a Big Omaha 2009 speaker, about his company's latest project, Haystack.com.

Haystack is a new way for clients and web designers to find each other. One of the main reasons that Silicon Prairie News exists is to spotlight our region's innovators, entrepreneurs and creatives, so when I heard what Jason is trying to accomplish through Haystack, I wanted to learn more about how web designers could benefit from this new site.

1029_HaystackThere are already more than a dozen of our region's design firms on Haystack, such as Oxide Design, Out West Media, KC Web Geeks, and Slash/Web Studios, and we know there are many others yet to register.

Great interview. Jason Fried is a big name in web development - glad he spent the time to give an interview for the midwest.

Appreciate the comment Joshua -- we were glad as well to get this interview.

It's great to see that you and others have signed up for the site. It'll be a great "directory" of web design shops in Omaha and the region.
