The Pape Ventures Conference’s inaugural year tagline, “Entrepreneurs and Experts Gather,” was carried out through its wide array of sessions, 15 in all. From “Social Media: Marketing Smarts” to “Venture Capital 101,” the sessions covered just about every topic an aspiring entrepreneur might be interested in. We were proud to have one of our own, Dusty Davidson, conduct a session explaining SPN’s mission to our region’s creative class. Over the lunch hour, Jim Esch of JimEsch.tv and Stormy Dean of infoGROUP, gave their keynote presentations.
After the last session concluded, I grabbed an interview with the conference’s organizer, Joel Pape, to hear his highlights, takeaways, and plans to hold the conference in the future.
