1. What is the name, subject and URL of your blog?

Hilton Omaha Blog (aka Omaha Online Coffee Table Book) available at www.hiltonomaha.wordpress.com is about community! Our focus is to be an engaging blog that is dedicated to the awesome stuff that Omaha has to offer! I want people from Omaha to discover new and exciting ways to access our city and give folks from out of town a depth to Omaha they may have not realized existed.

2. Why do you blog?

My career choice is very analytical and black and white – I wanted an outlet to use my creativity and mirror that with the vest that I have for Omaha. There are great things going on here – you just have to go and explore! I thought the medium of Hilton Omaha gave a nice balance – creating a centered, tangible place.

3. How long have you been blogging and what blogging software do you use?

Not long! Since May 2009, and I utilize WordPress. I chose this because it was the easiest for me to get into and had all of the features that I wanted while still being very structured and neat.

4. What’s your favorite blog (besides your own)?

I’m a researcher by nature, so I have a good five minute wait to go through my favorites before I reach the end. I might want to think about utilizing some software – but I find it exciting to “rediscover” something. I enjoy Fresh Nest, Goodlifer, Omaha Daily Photo, Somewhere in Middle America, and Princess Lasertron.

5. What do you think the state of the blogosphere is in our region?

Pretty new to this whole thing to answer….
