SPN interviews Wendy Townley about her Big Omaha case study
Wendy Townley produced a thorough review of Big Omaha 2009, and I wanted to talk with her to learn more about her reasons behind writing the paper and what she hoped to gain by researching the inaugural event.
If you haven't already read her paper, please take the time to check it out at WendyTownley.com/BigOmaha.
The goal, as Wendy indicated, is to have the paper serve as a discussion starter and continue the dialogue from Big Omaha.
Hats off to Wendy for the hard work and we are honored to have her spend time on building the research and details that went into compiling the paper!

I really liked your paper about Big Omaha. I can say that I learned of this really on and bought a ticket the minute I heard about it on Twitter. I am huge follower of many things Omaha and once I checked the website and Silicon Prairie News for more information, I didn't think twice. I don't believe that traditional marketing works anymore. TV ads - dead. Print ads - dead. Radio ads - works for concerts. I think Facebook and especially Twitter make a lot of sense for unique, non-traditional, and on the edge events. And Big Omaha was such an event!
