"New card, what do you think? [...] Picked them up from the printers yesterday. [...] That's bone, and the letter is something called Silian Rail."

-- Patrick Bateman

I decided to ask some of the attendees at last Friday's SPN First Birthday Party / BrightMix Ice Cream Social "What makes your business card special?"

Thanks to, in order of appearance, Jonathan Sharp, Grant Stanley, Jimmy Winter, Eric Downs, Dave Nelson, Drew Davies, and Steve Gordon for their participation. And thanks again to those who stopped by the party and who regularly stop by our site -- we apprecaite your support, motivation, and enthusiasm for what we do.

Also, if you think there's something special about your business card that you'd like to share, tell us about it in a comment below. Feel free to link to a picture, video, or blog post about it.

Those are all VERY cool. I like the slim one (Steve Gordon), Downs Design (Eric's) and the one with the water purifying 'button'.

LOVE the creativity these guys have put into their cards. They truly make a statement.

They all rock. I dig Downs' 'flipper' logo. Bonus points to Contemporary Analytics for a card you can wear on your face. Laughed out loud at Jimmy's honesty/humilty. Jonathan Sharp is going after the emotional hook with the wedding windmill...I can dig that. Steve Gordon's low profile card is very Seth Godin-esque. Unique drawings are killer for Secret Penguin.

But I'll tip my hat to Oxide because (1) I'm 100% biased (2) it could save your life in a pinch (3) c'mon, the dude has formally changed his name to 'Drew Oxide' for crying out loud. That's dedication.

Obviously Downs Designs wins since it legible horizontal and vertical... we all know how many times we need to read a business card while on an incline bench twisting sideways reaching for our beverage of choice.

I'm very curious about the oxide button. Off to see what this guy does. Now that's the response a business card is supposed to evoke, no?

Just checked out Oxide's website. They had me at Legos. If Hush Vintage ever has enough money in the marketing/branding piggybank...

Now I'm off to find Soda Farm drinks.

Drew wins - Love the rest of you, but anything that is letterpress wins my heart. Enough Said.

@Phil Haussler Good catch on me accidentally calling Drew Davies "Drew Oxide." In my mind, he had really gone to the extreme with his branding. It's been corrected. :-)
