Study ranks Silicon Prairie states in Pro-Business Top 10
From our friends at the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce comes a new study result highlighting a few states in the Silicon Prairie...
The study, “Pollina Corporate Top 10 Pro-Business States for 2009: Rebuilding American’s Economic Power,” evaluates and ranks states based on 33 factors, including taxes, human resources, right-to-work legislation, energy costs, infrastructure spending, workers’ compensation laws, economic incentive programs and state economic development efforts.
According to the study, the top 10 most business-friendly states are:
- Virginia
- Utah
- North Carolina (2008 winner)
- Wyoming
- South Carolina
- South Dakota
- Kansas
- Georgia
- Florida
- Nebraska
