Thanks to a tweet by Nick Ashley, I stumbled upon some great news: ReadWriteStart, a channel of the highly-trafficked tech trends blog ReadWriteWeb, featured Jimmy Winter's RockDex and announced that he'll be partnering with Kansas City-based Locker Partner in the near future.

Jolie O'Dell, who covered Big Omaha for ReadWriteWeb in May, authored the post. If you're unfamiliar with Jimmy's product, or just want to read about some exciting news out of Omaha, head on over to ReadWriteStart: RockDex Announces Merger, Fleshes Out Offering for Bands on the Social Web.

Congrats to Jimmy and Locker Partner, thanks again to Nick, and thanks to Jolie for covering Jimmy.

Just left a comment over on ReadWriteStart. This is great news for both teams.

I love seeing area startups and companies succeeding, but this is like a two-for-one show. After reading more about what each group is working on, it seems like a natural fit. Now bands can use RockDex to easily track their fans and popularity, while Locker Partner helps them act on those numbers with effective marketing. It's simply brilliant.

Congratulations again to both teams!

Thanks Mike! I loved your play on the LockerPartner name on the RWW post. I'm going to start using that!

Also, thanks Danny and SPN for being so supportive of RockDex since it began. I really appreciate it! Hopefully the project will be able to shine some more light on Omaha.
