Well, we’ve got it down to five, and frankly, I don’t think it works too well to mash them all together. So, now it’s up to you – there’s a ticket to Big Omaha on the line as well as a name that will help set the reputation for the little guy that’s about to be in the big spotlight.

Congrats to our five finalists, in alphabetical order: Analog, submitted by Robert Murphy; Blip, submitted by Matt Heller; Bob, submitted by Robert; Gus, submitted by Julie; and Walter, submitted by Hillary Sinn.

Voting ends at midnight Thursday, April 30th and the winner will be announced Friday, May 1st.

Hmm! I didn’t know this.

Donovan Beery 04.22.09 at 12:11 pm Ralph. After Ralph Vaerst, who coined the term “Silicon Valley”.

Erin 04.22.09 at 12:31 pm Stephen Colbert.

This looks familiar.

This one, too.

Justin 04.22.09 at 1:20 pm Jeff Slobotdog the Prairie Dog

It’s got rhyme (lots of it) but no “dog.”

Jake 04.22.09 at 2:04 pm Larry the Prairie Entrepreneurie

We appreciate the enthusiasm.

Scott 04.22.09 at 8:51 pm Omahog the Prairie dog! It just rolls off the tongue! I am sure we can get a quick chant: Omahog the Prairie dog, tweets a post to his blog, kickin it right in the big O, Be here or suck my toe! who’s with me?

I do enjoy the puns.

Nick 04.27.09 at 9:37 pm “Common Cold the Prairie Dog.” Yes, it’s a joke. But, hey, it’s cool and catchy. Just in all the wrong ways.

Thanks for reading and participating – it’s all of you that keep us going.
