For those who missed the YPC Summit last week, the YP Bus Challenge was announced!  Here's an innovative way for you to provide feedback on ways to improve the city's transportation system, rather than complain.

Take a listen to Craig Moody talk about the process and make sure to check out the website, follow the YP Bus Challenge on Twitter and spread the word!

Great idea regarding the bus challenge / transportation system. I think with the state of the economy and the environment this situation will take on an even greater significance during the coming weeks and months. I recently visited Vancouver, BC and was so impressed with their mass transportation system. There was an effective rail system as well as hybrid bus system. Access to bus lines and subway systems were available on almost every corner, or so it seemed.

I am trying to organize a bike ride for this coming in April 11 when the weather changes. I think implementing using the busses to get a ride downtown would be great for this.

I was wrong on the date, Saturday & Sunday April 25th-26th is the Omaha Health Expo downtown. Saturday is the perfect day to catch a bus downtown and enjoy the walk and the riverfront and you don't have to woory about parking. Sunday is the bike ride. It's a great way for everyone to get their bikes out and use the bus and its new bike racks that were installed last fall. If you are interested in joing my team for the Expo you can reach me at dejuan247@yahoo.com or 813-7079. I have a good feeling my team is gonna win this challenge!
