Infotec 2009: free passes & T-shirts!

Omaha March 25, 2009 by Dusty Davidson

infotecOmaha's annual Infotec conference is just around the corner, April 14th & 15th at the Qwest Center. From the Infotec website:

Infotec '09 is slated to be the Midwest’s premier IT conference, providing attendees with rich speaker content and an atmosphere that resonates with fun and excitement. Four keynote speakers and a comprehensive schedule of 60 breakout sessions make Infotec09 one event you won’t want to miss!

If you've been in years past, you might be surprised to see a different event this year. The folks at the AIM Institute have stepped in and have put together a pretty compelling, well-rounded offering.. The tracks include:

  • Information Assurance
  • Business Applications
  • Entrepreneurship - New!
  • IT for Community Development
  • Web Technologies
  • Innovation
  • and more!

Also new this year... Entrepreneurs & students receive free admission to the conference! 40 entrepreneurs and 60 students who fill out this application, will be eligible for free passes to the event. For the entrepreneurs out there, this is interesting as the entrepreneurial track has some great speakers lined up!

What: Infotec 2009 When: April 14th & 15th Where: Qwest Center Omaha Cost: $75-$300 (free for students & entrepreneurs)

Also, if you use the code "SPN" at checkout, you will receive a free T-shirt!

And, as if all of that wasn't enough... Jeff & I will be presenting "Building Omaha's Creative Class Through Silicon Prairie News" on Tuesday from 1:00pm - 2:00. It's likely worth the price of admission just to see that :)

Too bad I'm a CPA that likes to be on the cutting edge of technology! The conference falls on the last two days of tax season.

Do you know of any other ways to get a free pass to the conference? I'm not a student or an entrepreneur, but am interested...

Thanks! Erica

Erica...I wish I would have seen this post earlier.

If you are still interested you should contact Dr. Wegner at grwagner@mail.unomaha.edu.

Good luck.
