KANEKO Library open house!

Omaha February 19, 2009 by Dusty Davidson

SPN had the opportunity to get a "sneak peak" at KANEKO's new library which will be holding an open house this Saturday from 4-7PM.

We at SPN are thrilled to have such a vital and creative resource in our community! If you haven't heard, Kaneko is also the space where Big Omaha will take place on Friday May 8th!

I am not sure I get it. :(
Kaneko is located downtown right? What is the library part? How is it related to UNO. I went to the website and checked out the designs to get an idea of what it is; but is this something anyone can go an hang out at? He mentioned something about a membership i thought?! It doesn't seem big enough for that? When does it officially open?

@Andy Peters-

Kaneko is located downtown correct at 1111 Jones Street.

The following link outlines the tie between UNO & Kaneko in greater detail:

Additional details, hours, etc. will be available on Saturday from 4-7!

Should be a great event and a great longstanding resource for Omaha!

@Jeff Slobotski -

I sure sounded like it in the video and caught my interest; so thanks for the link... i feel less confused... maybe just more anxious now.

Thanks so much for your support of this project, SPN! I hope your readers can stop by the open house on Saturday. And keep up the great work of promoting Omaha's creative class.

Hi - When you hotlink to the Big Omaha event through this post there is one too many "w's" in front of Big Omaha (so you can't like). Thought you'd like to know. Love the blog (Hi Dusty!).
