Silicon Prairie News hits SXSW ‘09

Omaha September 10, 2008 by Jeff Slobotski

It's official! Silicon Prairie News will be blogging, interviewing, broadcasting live from South by Southwest 2009 in Austin!

We at SPN are completely thrilled with the opportunity to represent Omaha and the Midwest at what is one of the nation's largest conferences for technology, music, media and more.

Lots more to come in the future, but wanted to celebrate with our readers and send a hearty "thank you" out for supporting what we're doing!

You can get a glimpse of what's scheduled at this year's conference here including a keynote by Zappos.com CEO Tony Hsieh. Hsieh has fostered a culture where extraordinary customer service is the norm.

Check out the following story for a glimpse of a company that blazes its own trails, including paying its employees to quit.

"Top 10 Lessons Learned in eCommerce"

Again, we're thrilled and looking forward to representing the Big O!

Awesome. I think I might attending as well. I've been wanting to go for the past 3 years but other things have always come up so 09 is going to be my year.

If you are covering the SXSW music festival... take a look at the UK's 17 year old Polly Mackey at the above myspace. Having reached the finals of the UK's MIBI songwriting awards in 2008, industry insiders are predicting that she will be a major breakthrough artist in 2009.
