Well, hard to believe it has come and gone, but BarCampOmaha 2008 wrapped up on Sunday.

The entire event was a tremendous amount of excitement and energy put forth by some of our city, and region’s, most talented folks.

First off a huge thanks to Joe Frost who allowed us to use FrostAcres. Thanks to the weather’s cooperation we had a great party by the pool on Friday evening with Brent Crampton playing.

Scott Blake set up his BarCodeArt in the gymnasium, which is absolutely amazing. The Bemis, Dundee Days, whoever…you need to have Mr. Blake exhibit his work. Check out the following link for a timelapse video of him through the weekend.

The sessions themselves were very interesting and many of Omaha’s best creative designers were there and talked about potential ways of working with the tech and other fields as well as what BarCampOmaha II might look like for them. Steve Gordon, Adam Nielsen, Eric Downs, Dave Nelson, John-Henry Muller, Donovan Berry & Nate Voss as well as a ton of others.

Sunday was a day to wrap up any conversations that came out of Saturday as well as look towards the future and get ready for BarCampOmaha II…well at least after Matt Secoske, Dusty Davidson, Eric Downs, I and many others take a few days of rest!

Speaking of Dusty Davidson, more to come soon on the launch of his exciting new product BetterOmaha.com.

And lastly, don’t forget the many photos! If you were there, please upload to Flickr and tag as “barcamp_omaha”. And stayed tuned for video and additional follow up here on SiliconPrairieNews.com

So so many reviews, conversations and comments I am missing but that’s what the comments section is for! So post your thoughts/feedback and suggestions and looking forward to seeing you all soon!
