Thanks Sarah!

Omaha August 1, 2008 by Jeff Slobotski

Thank you to Sarah Lacy and the over 80 people who came out to support her and the book. The event was a resounding success!

It was amazing to see the support and positive conversations that have already come out of the event and we'll continue working to build collaboration and communication around where Omaha is heading...

We will have video and photos from the event on the site shortly, as well information about upcoming events (including BarCampOmaha!)

Also, check out Sarah's coverage of the event on her blog here: http://www.sarahlacy.com/sarahlacy/2008/08/omaha-sarah-lac.html

If you didn't get a chance to pick up a book last night and would like to, email jeffslobotski@gmail.com and we'll get some crates of books from Sarah sent out to us soon!

Again, thanks to Sarah Lacy for an amazing event and to everyone who came out! Keep the momentum going and we hope to get Sarah to stop back at some point in the future!

(Also take a peak at the great writeup from our friends in Des Moines where Sarah stopped next)

Last night was intense!! So many people who are *actually doing something* were there. It was exciting and interesting, and I cannot wait to do it again at BarCamp Omaha!

What a fantastic night / morning. The event turned out to be exactly what she said it needed to be. People developing friendships and engaging in conversation about everything. Beautiful.

Thanks again Jeff - last night and this morning were a blast, and I'm confident it will carry over to BarCamp.

And thanks again Sarah - for speaking about the book and our goals here in Omaha.
